Hey @ma3ry – Thanks for contacting us!
We don’t currently have a way to easily make emails more compact, though this is on our radar to consider options for in the future.
In case it helps, though, I have a couple of alternative ideas that might work for you:
1) You could consider using a CSV file instead of emails for printing. A CSV can be opened in a spreadsheet program like Excel (for more readable formatting), and that way entries are in the most compact form possible.
You can automatically send CSV attachments with your email notification by enabling our Entry CSV Attachments feature.
If you’d like to give this a shot, here’s our tutorial on using Entry CSV Attachments
2) We have a compact option if you’re printing entries from the WordPress admin area (). To use this, you’d open an individual entry’s page, click Print in the right sidebar, then select Compact View
3) You could manually reformat the message body. This can take some effort upfront, but ultimately provides a lot of control. You could do this by building out the notification content in a more customized way using regular text, HTML, and Smart Tags. In case it helps, here’s a couple of screenshots of an example:
It’s worth noting that, unlike the {all_fields} Smart Tag, this approach will not filter out empty fields (they will just appear blank).
I apologize that this isn’t quite what you were looking for, but hopefully one of these options could work for you.
If you have any questions about this or anything else, could you please let me know?
Thanks! ??
