We got our first website order today. When we went to print the shipping label, we discovered that we had no way to do that. So, we installed the Jetpack plugin. Once that was done, we were able to select the label that we wanted to print (USPS medium flat rate priority). However, when we click to print the label, the screen kind of flashes, but nothing ever prints. I truly wish that I could actually SEE the label within WordPress, so that I could deal with it if it doesn’t print.

If anyone knows how to rectify this issue, your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

P.S. Printing was attempted from a machine running Windows 10 Pro, with Firefox 75.0. Jetpack version is 8.4.2.

@apexxsolutions if you’ll send a link to the site, we can ensure Jetpack is working correctly.

Here’s what I’d recommend testing in the meantime though:
    – Ensure Jetpack is properly connected (you can use https://jetpack.com/debug ). It sounds like it already is, though.

    – Try testing on another browser, with a different printer setting, or on a different computer to see if one of those things is a factor. The ‘blink’ screen does suggest it could be a local issue.

And then if you’re still struggling, try the WooCommerce forum. Hoping this helps!

The debugger has some communication error. Our website is https://apexxsolutions.com We won’t be able to test anything until we get another sale.

The error at https://jetpack.com/support/debug/?url=https://apexxsolutions.com/ indicates that XML-RPC for your site is either turned off or being blocked.

I can access the file at https://apexxsolutions.com/xmlrpc.php, so it appears to be enabled, but it’s possible your hosting provider or a security plugin on your site is still preventing us from connecting to it.

If you’re using any security plugins, please review their settings and make sure they’re not blocking connections to XML-RPC. Otherwise please contact your hosting provider and ask them to check on this.

XML-RPC on your server must be configured to receive POST requests in order for the Jetpack connection, and any services like shipping labels that rely on that connection, to work.

We logged in and turned off the item in the firewall settings that said: XMLRPC, Comments and Trackbacks blocked We just ran the Jetpack debug again and it now shows that everything passed. Hopefully this will enable us to print labels. We are still working with an SEO team to get our website up in the search rankings – hopefully we will start getting more sales soon. We will post back if there is still an issue. Thanks.

Sounds good. I’ll go ahead and mark this as resolved for now. Cheers!

Unfortunately, this issue is NOT resolved. We got an order today. When we went to print the label, it did exactly the same thing as last time. I can not believe in this day and age that someone does not create a plug in that just works – without any hassles. We have to get this resolved, as it almost cost us another $60 in shipping if we had done it through the UPS site (we ended up shipping via Priority Mail for a lot less).

What do we have to do to make this work??

Ah, I misunderstood your late post.

When Jetpack passed, did you go through and complete the connection to your WooCommerce account like so?

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-services/

And, did you run into any issues with that process?

    Thread Starter apexxsolutions

    (@apexxsolutions)

As far as we know, everything is connected. We already added the credit card information. We can get to the point where we have a button that says Print Label, but the label never prints. Also, it doesn’t seem to have the option to print UPS labels, only USPS. This has become beyond annoying.

All we’re really able to help with from our end is Jetpack itself, and I no longer see any errors for your Jetpack connection at https://jetpack.com/support/debug/?url=https://apexxsolutions.com/

So if this still isn’t working, the issue lies with the WooCommerce Services plugin or the connection to your WooCommerce account. Please contact WooCommerce support directly for help with that plugin:

Would this paid plug in do what we need??

We’re not able to advise on third-party plugins that integrate with the WooCommerce plugin, here in the forums for the Jetpack plugin. Please contact support for that plugin directly for questions about what that plugin can do.

That plugin does not integrate with Jetpack in the way that WooCommerce Services do, and we have no information on how it works.
