I created a print.css stylesheet and slapped it in my header, but printers just don’t seem to pick it out.

Check it out: https://www.triplepundit.com (go to any article page and hit print preview)

Looks like crap, the print.css is just not being picked up. Is something wrong with the header?

    Thanks!

PS – I don’t want to use WP-Print because I don’t want to have a print button on the site.

  • You’ve got quite a few validation errors but nothing that should interfere with the delivery of your print.css sheet. The sheet itself looks OK. Some warnings but again nothing major.

Did a print preview in both Firefox 3 and IE8 and it seems to work OK but then I don;t know what you’re actually trying to achieve within the sheet. Generally print CSS is really poorly supported, so there’s often little you can do beyond the print basics. Even page breaks don’t work properly.

Hey wow! It actually works in ie8. That shows how often I use IE. Wait a minute… now it works.. sheesh, must have been a caching thing. Sorry about that.
