• Hi all, Not sure if anyone else has this issue but my printful store keeps giving me this error message, {Error: A connection error occurred while requesting your server. Please check that your server is working correctly!}
    I have been consistently getting it and it sometimes goes away if i changed theme to storefront, clear cache, and logout-login, but that fix didnt work this time around. My host also increased my PHP limit but the error is still there and there seems to be no problem on their end. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this? The printful plugin’s status all says OK, so it seems the plugin in functioning well , I am just unable to add any new products to my store as i’m reciving this error on the Printful website. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. x

  • I am having the same issue. Spent most of my day with hosting and Printful trying to resolve it. I noticed this happened shortly after upgrading to the newest version of WooCommerce plugin. I reverted back to an older version, it synced twice and then back to the same issue.

    Same here, I have been back and forth with both all day. After doing my own research and browsing forums it seems to be the host server at fault. Printful also sent me the following in chat. –{ .: After reviewing this error with my team, they were able to tell me that an error like this usually means that there is an issue with the client’s server configuration. We please ask you to contact your hosting support. The issue can be summarized as “cURL failing to make an SSL connection”.}
    I have since deleted my entire website and my printful store and created new ones :/ but cannot sync still as the error is STILL there. Might i ask which hosting company you are with? I’m using Godaddy and they insist their server is fine. I also noticed that the Printful plugin says untested with my wordpress version (managed wordpress) so dont know if that has anything to do with it. My shop last synced on Friday last, but by Saturday the wp version was automatically updated and the sync failed again.

    I’m also with GoDaddy. They had me upgrade to Managed WordPress with eCommerce. It still didn’t help. I’ve talked to 3 people at GoDaddy, they all insist everything is fine.

    Printful also said it was an SSL issue. I checked all that, made the changes they suggested, and still no syncing.

    Printful swears it’s the host. Godaddy says everything is working. Printful had me upgrade my PHP. That did not work. They also said JetPack was the issue. We disabled all plugins and just did WC and Printful plugins, still didn’t work.

    I was able to sync the shop Monday, but then we updated plugins and everything has been bad since then. I did get it to sync twice, randomly today, but I have no explanation as to why it worked. I haven’t been able to get it to repeat the sync.

    They also told me i need to upgrade as the woocommerec plugin wasnt available unless i did which I did not do since i know that isn’t right at all. Especially now that i know upgrading wont help i,m not doing that.
    Since deleting I cant even connect my new site and new printful account so I doubt the issue is printful as i get a new error Could not open Woocommerce authorization page (OpenSSL SSL_connect: SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL in connection to studiohjo.com:443 ) which leads me to think it is actually an issue with the host. Hope we both get the issue sorted soon, I’m going to be contacting godaddy again today. If it helps ask if they can reboot your server as well, it worked before for me when i got the sync error. x

    I am having the same issue, with the same host. Any updates?

    GoDaddy is supposed to call me later today.

    Here’s what I’ve done that has not worked:

    – I have deactivated all plugins except WooCommerce and Printful, cleared all caches. I’ve tried this multiple times. No luck.

    – I tried reverting to the previous version of WooCommerce (there was an update 5 days ago). I got the shop to sync once, then it stopped again.

    – I spent hours on the phone with my host yesterday (Godaddy). They checked for firewalls, there are none. They see no issues on their end as far as server and responses. I even paid money to upgrade to a highest level hosting, just in case that was the issue.

    – The Woocommerce log shows no problems. The Printful plugin log shows no problems.

    – They also increased the server execution time. This did not solve the problem, data did not refresh.

    This does not seem like an isolated issue. If I get anything done with GoDaddy today I will update here.

    Ok thanks, I’ve tried all what you’ve done as well. Even changed API keys and everything. nothing is working.

    Oh yes! I forgot that! I changed API keys as well. Nothing.

    Printful has said they are taking this to their developers and it might take some time to resolve.

    @jaywillie @studiohjo What WordPress themes are you using?

    No updates for me today as I was out of studio and didnt get the chance to get to Tech Support. No change still. Going to get on support tonight.
    I was switching between soledad by Pencidesign and sometimes storefront when I would get the error, but switched to Storefront entirely the last week or 2 as i thought my theme was the problem as nothing helped. Did not fix the issue.
    @jaywillie @dilibertodesign should mention to Godaddy support that other customers are having the same issue as well, they may be more inclined to investigate the problem. I’m definitely going to.

    @jaywillie @studiohjo

    I think I have it narrowed down to an issue between WordPress Upgrading (does this automatically on managed WP) + WooCommerce plugin updating (it’s still not compatible with new WP version yet) + Printful plugin either not being compatible with new WP and/or Updated WooCommerce Plugin.

    Godaddy referenced me to SkyVerge (who is a partner company with them and Woo). https://www.skyverge.com/support. That directs you to fill out a ticket with WooCommerce. So now I have a ticket into WooCommerce as well.

    Printful has assured me they have relayed all of this to their developers.

    I will keep you updated.

    Update from me, didn’t do anything new and my shop was able to connect to Printful tonight as I just randomly checked. Added a product to my shop to make sure and its working fine. Whatever the issue was i’m glad it’s fixed? Let me know if you guys have the same luck x

    Thanks, for the updates. I have the exact same issue – WordPress hosted with goDaddy. Updated wooCommerce, sync stopped. Then, magically worked and is back to not working. I had upgraded to WordPress support but they couldn’t find anything (I told them the status flags for printful were OK), printful customer service asked to talk to WP. On and on.

    I have an open ticket with Printful, GoDaddy (they closed it, I’ve replied again).

    Looking to read about your updates – I will copy solution if it works for you. Quite frustrating considering they tech teams are slow to take up bugs after signing up for $

    @ukelkar @studiohjo

    WooCommerce got back to me. They created a test website, all same versions of the plugins and WP and a test PF shop and got everything to work, so they recommended going back to Godaddy.

    I logged into my shop this morning and just like @studiohjo everything is working!! I’ve added products, updated products, everything syncs perfect. The only thing I haven’t tried is putting in an order.

    I don’t know what changed or how it got solved, but it seems things are all working now.

    @ukelkar @studiohjo

    JUST KIDDING. It’s not working again.
