Priorities & Tasks

I have a list of tasks and want to assign their priorities. My priorities are called Step 1, Step 2 etc. ( created from the Knowledge Base drop downs), i went back to the tasks, and set the first task to Step One. However on the List of Tasks, i do not see this Priority, i see a blank space. any suggestions?
