Priority & First-Class shipping rates not calculating correctly…

Hi,

The first class mail with incorrect rates you’re getting could be the commercial rates, and the retail rates are different. You can choose to show the offline rates and retail rates in the plugin settings instead of click and ship and commercial rates.

Regarding the higher rates on adding multiple items its because the basic version of the plugin only has the option to pack the items individually hence the shipping rates will multiply for each item added to cart.

Thank you for the response, I appreciate it. Here’s what I found…

? If I select “Use OFFLINE rates” under “Shipping Rates” this is what happens…
First-Class? Package Service does’t show up as an option when I add something to the shopping cart, but if I select First-Class Mail? Parcel it does show up, but only at $0.35, so this option won’t work.

? If I select “Use Click-N-Ship-Rates” under “Shipping Rates” and have First-Class? Package Service selected as an option it displays $2.66.

I’m not sure what else to try to resolve this issue. I wish I could send you screenshots so you can see on the back-end what’s going on, but I’m sure you already know it well enough to understand what I’m talking about.

Also, the premium version support adding tracking, correct?

You can turn on the debug mode in the plugin settings and while calculating the shipping cost copy and attach the debug data here.

Regarding the premium version, once the label is generated by creating shipment the tracking information gets generated automatically and once you mark the order as completed the shipment details with the tracking information will be sent to the customer.

Update…

I purchased and installed the premium version and the calculated shipping seems to be fixed for priority, but now First-Class is not showing up during checkout even though I have it selected on the back-end.

Please let me know the fix for this, thank you.

This is getting a little frustrating. The basic version didn’t have the features nor work properly, now I purchased the premium version and the same issues.

Does this plugin connect to the USPS API to obtain actual live rates or doesn’t it?

The only way I can get First-Class and Priority to work together is to select “Weight based: Regular sized items (<12 inches) are Grouped” under “Services, Rates and Packing”.

But even that doesn’t work properly because it doesn’t return the correct rates… so I had to add a price adjustment of $1.00 for both First-Class and Priority.

Any suggestions?

All I’m looking for is real-time rates for First-Class and Priority and for orders to be shipped and priced together… can this plugin do that?

Hi,

Checked the debug data, the First class Package service returned by the API itself is 2.66, that’s the reason the plugin is showing the incorrect rates, you’ll have to use price adjustment field in the plugin settings to show the correct rates.

Also there’s another service First Class Package retail with 3.50 but the issue here is that service comes with a same class ID from USPS class ID 0, and even letter and post card options have the same class ID hence it will show the cheapest rates instead of the package retail rates, so best option would be to use the price adjustment field.
