When used with BuddyPress, voting activities show up in BuddyPress’ public activity feed, even for private forums. That publicly reveals information (topic title and URL) that should remain private.

Is there a way to turn off voting activities altogether until this issue gets fixed?

Note: this was observed when using bbPress Voting along with BuddyBoss Platform, an active fork of BuddyPress+bbPress. Can anyone confirm whether the same problem arises on a native BuddyPress+bbPress setup?

@biguenique , thanks for letting me know that you ran into some issue. I’ve been testing it on BuddyBoss, but I’m not able to find the issue you’re referring to. Where is this “public activity feed” you’re referring to? Are you saying that it shows that someone voted on a topic/reply? Can you please give me the steps to reproduce the issue so I can investigate further? Thanks!

@biguenique , I’m just following up on this. Do you have a chance to provide me some more information about the issue you’re having so I can troubleshoot it?

Closing this due to lack of response. Feel free to reply on it again if you have more details I can use to replicate the issue and troubleshoot. Thanks.
