Private Community/Discussion Groups

  • Hi All,

    I am using WordPress & Buddypress to create a website for a non-profit organization. Part of the website is public facing (for info about the organization available to the public) and the other part (where Buddypress comes in) is a private community.

    One feature I am trying to implement is email based discussions similar to GoogleGroups or Yahoo! Groups. Is this possible? Using third party plugins/tools or maybe bbPress?

    Not at this time. You will receive email notifications for the different points of discussions via BuddyPress – forums, @mentions, Private Messages, comments from blog posts, etc. etc. etc. – but you need to log in to site to respond to the notification/s.
