Private IP Address in my WP Statistics Visitors List

  • Using a WP Plug-in WP Statistics I looked at the IP Address of Visitors to the site and found 10.14. xx.xxx three times on the same date one after the other.

    I found that one was using Opera and the other two los where using MSIE.

    Nothing looks different on the website, there is still only the one Admin, no passwords have been change,others on the same day all have valid IP Addresses.

    I don’t like the thought of having a Private IP Address in my logs,
    it was 10.14.xx.xxx (last two octets have been modified) this is a Private Address I know that, what I don’t know or like is why has it appeared where only public IP Addresses should be.

    Has anyone any ideas how this could happen?
    I have been looking around trying to find out why a Private address would appear in the wild, but nothing?
