Private page for a specific user

  • Here is the idea…

    I want to create a member zone with customized content for each user (ie. Customized welcome video, links to documents specifically made for the user)

    My idea is to create page with a normal login form. But when the user login his specific page appears…

    How to achieve that…

    For now I installed the disclose-secret plugin… I can attach a page to a specific user. But I don’t know how the login can redirect the user to his personnal page.

    I also installed the flashplayer plungin to display the welcome video. But I cannot link a video from a protected folder (with .htaccess)

    My problems are…
    1) how to protect the files (FLV files, document files) to be viewed by everyone simply browsing the directory where I put all my docs/vids.
    2) how to create a login form that redirect the user to is own page
