Private Profile When Viewed by Restricted Member

  • I have it set so Users can make their profile Private.

    When a member who is restricted to view clicks on their profile, it takes them straight to front page. Is that the usual behaviour of UM private profile feature?

    I would like to have it so when clicking the private profile has a message like, “This Profile is Private….” or else it’s confusing to user who doesnt understand why they can’t see the profile and been redirected.

    Appreciate anyone’s help on this.

    Currently, there is no setting or option to change this behavior. The only option seems to be custom coding to achieve what you want.

    Yes, I believe I found a page years ago that had details for this, I thought it was a ultimate member page or support question, as I was sure I did it for a website a while back… I remember using just the Profile image which is seen elsewhere on site, then quoting “This profile is private”…

    Now to work out how I did it…
