    Hi,

I am developing a WordPress site for a client. They are running the current site off of a private server, something I haven’t personally encountered before. We usually deal with one click installs, but there’s a first time for everything.

The client’s previous site ran off an ASP.NET framework. Previous sites they have backed up supported PHP, but the current one doesn’t seem to. The client’s IT department have installed and created a MySQL database for us, but every time we run the install we receive a “No input file specified.” message. I assume this is because PHP will not run on the server? Any suggestions for what we should do next would be brilliant.

    Thanks.

  • Install PHP on the server.

Really, that’s the only option. You need PHP to run WordPress, so without it, you can’t do anything.

The only other option is to use a different server that is running PHP.
