    Hi

I’ve been looking at this site recently and a few errors have been thrown up recently about the sitemap and uploads. I wasn’t entirely sure what it was, if it was the sitemap generation or some modification to the upload process.

I thought that it might be the upload itself that is unpublished, but looking at the database it seems the upload/image post inherits the publish status. This is when I realised some images were being uploaded via a WP Bakery image carousel on a draft page and is why the page itself doesn’t load – this makes complete sense.

So the issue I am having is that these unpublished images are appearing in the sitemap which is not ideal. Is there any way to exclude these or is there a way for me to add custom conditioning either in the interface or in the PHP files?

    Hopefully this all makes sense!

    Thanks,
    Tom

I’m not entirely sure what you mean, but once you upload an image in your WordPress admin panel, it creates a so called attachment page for that image. I’d recommend you to make sure you do not include Media in your sitemap.
