I have read as many of the support questions found here and watched a handful of demos. I can not find which shows how you can change the height of the slider at various resolutions. For Example it is my hope that Pro can lock the height setting so as I move from a 1280 res monitor to a 1920 the height remains constant while the width allows more of the image. And on my mobile and tablet I can create a size so that it fills up of the device to be useful and readable. As right now the height and width scale so that moving across monitors my image simply grows vertically. Can you confirm this. It is the only feature I can not confirm.

    Kind Regards,

You can find the options we have in the Size tab of the slider’s settings:
    https://doc.smartslider3.com/article/59-slider-size

where you have the option at the “Responsive mode”, if you choose the Auto or the Fullwidth responsivity, to give a minumum and maximum slider height, so if you would give the same value there, then your slider’s height would remain contastant.

Also you could give a custom slider size for tablet and mobile phones (in the same tab), that would change your whole slider’s size, and then you could have more space for your layers. Just the previous minimum and maximum height would overwrite this, so you should choose which one you want to use.

And to keep your text readable, you could use the Font – Size modifier option at your layer’s Layer tab: https://doc.smartslider3.com/article/392-layer-settings-parallax-responsiveness
(this option is also the same, what you see in your slide editor: https://doc.smartslider3.com/article/402-interface-slide-editor)

I apologize, your latest response applies to only the Pro Version correct?

For the free verision can you control the hieght of the slider per desktop resolution? When I tried I could adjust layer sizes, but not the slide itself. This led to it being 600px on my one monitor and then full screen on my 30 in monitor.

My response was about half Pro, half Free version features, like what you are asking, the different height for different devices is a pro feature, and in the free there is the minimum and maximum height, also the font size changing option.

I would first suggest to try out this minimum, maximum height, if you have the free version, maybe that will be enough. So it’s in here in the slider’s settings, under the Responsive mode options: https://doc.smartslider3.com/article/59-slider-size

But if you would like to specify the different heights, I made a simple video, where I did this. If you check it out, that might help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pw4VkyIaAYQ

Also we have a tutorial documentation, which could be useful too, to see what’s happening: https://doc.smartslider3.com/article/481-customized-slider-sizes

Thanks. I have 2 final questions

    1. Can you set multiple font sizes within a text layer in the slider
    2. Do you have a donation link? I could not find on your site.

1.) There are more options for the fonts:

    1. The first one is, that at the layer tab: https://doc.smartslider3.com/article/392-layer-settings-parallax-responsiveness
where you see # next to the name of the options, it means, that you can change them for the different device views. One of these options are the Font – Size modifier, so you could give different font sizes here.
    2. The second is, that at the same place, at the layer tab, there is also the “Adaptive sizing” option. If you turn this on, it will mean, that your font won’t get smaller with the slider, but it will have exactly the font size you give. You could combine the previous option with this one.
    3. The third option is, that at your slider’s settings, in the Size tab:
    https://doc.smartslider3.com/article/59-slider-size
you can give minumum font size values for each views, what you are using, so by default to the “Slider size”. This way you can ensure, that your font won’t get too small.

2.) We don’t have a donation link, but if you would like to help us, the best thing you can do is to write a review here:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/view/plugin-reviews/smart-slider-3
    we would really appeaciate that!
