Pro Version “nag” on dashboard pages won’t go away

    The following Pop-Up/nag message shows up on every page of my dashboard, and will not go away, despite clicking on the hyperlink that says “Dismiss this message”

    Clicking on the hyperlink takes me to my Posts page, and does NOT dismiss the nag message. I have tried repeatedly over several days, and still no change.

    “Thank you for using the free version of Pure & Simple – 3.2.0 theme. Want more features? Check out the PRO version for more options and professional support! Dismiss this message”

    Will you please fix this?

    For anyone else who is bothered by this nag, this is what I did to resolve it:
    Using either FTP, C-Panel, or the Theme Editor on your Dashboard,
    Open the functions.php document.
    Scroll towards the bottom of the page,
    Cut out all the code from
    “// display custom admin notice”
    on down.
    Click on “Update The File” button.

    The nag is now gone.
