• After getting the message below, I called Telus Shared Hosting to see if they could help me. They said that WordPress may be using commands to access the database that may not be available on Telus and told me to see if I can find out what command WordPress is using when it tries to access the database. Can anyone help with needed info so that I can call Telus back and see if WordPress can be installed?

    Any help hugely appreciated.

    Can’t select database

We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the intranet_stewardedge_ca:MySQL5 database.

    * Are you sure it exists?
    * Does the user stewardedg690352 have permission to use the intranet_stewardedge_ca:MySQL5 database?
    * On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_intranet_stewardedge_ca:MySQL5. Could that be the problem?
