We’re using the free version of your plugin on a number of sites and on one of them, the option to create user accounts has changed the role from Subscriber to Administrator! And since it’s the free version, we are not able to change it back to Subscriber, see https://nimb.ws/gSCx7s

Obviously this is a major problem. And I also checked the database and the entry for default_user_role is ‘subscriber’ (see https://nimb.ws/7J5TId).

What’s going on and how can we get this resolved ASAP? The plugin can’t be used like this!

    Hi,

Please make sure to set the default user role as subscriber in WordPress settings. For more details, refer to the following screenshot: https://nimb.ws/0eE8nt

It’s subscriber currently but I edited that in the database last night. It should not have been set to administrator, and only two people had administrative access to the site. I’ll have to wait & see if it happens again to see if this was the issue or not.

    Hi,

We need to analyze the reported issue at our end and would require admin access details temporarily. Could you please share your site’s admin dashboard access by creating a new admin user with our support email address [email protected] in order to allow us investigate this in detail.
