Problem adding an image.

  • I did the required WordPress database update. I went to create a new post, I uploaded the images from our computer and that worked fine. But, when I went to add the image to my post, it just adds the HTML code for the image but not the actual image. How do I fix this?

  • How did you add the image? Did you use the “Add an image” button in Visual mode?

    Yes, I used the add the image button. The images uploaded fine, but when I went to add it in the post editor box the HTML just pops up.

    Just to confirm,

    – adding the image in the “Visual” mode of the text editor
    – in “Add an Image” popup box, you clicked “Insert into Post” button

    and the html code is added instead of the actual image in the “Visual” editor.
    Is that right?

    Yes, that is correct.

    Change your theme to twenty eleven or twenty ten to see if that works.

    Also disable your plugins one by one and see if one of the plugins causing the issue.
