Problem Adding Images to Existing Gallery

I can add images to a new gallery with no problem.
However, whenever I add images to an existing gallery I have some issues. When I got to manage gallery and view the images in the gallery, I can see the title of the photo in the list, but there is no thumbnail. When I click on the photo title, I am taken to a ‘does not exist’ page.
I have deactivated all plugins and tried again. Deactivated my theme and tried again. The error persists. This is a Multisite, not sure if that is creating a problem or not. Was working before upgrade.
