• Both of these issues are happening while trying to add a new post on the site.

The first issue is that whether the ‘visual’ tab is clicked or the ‘html’ tab it is always portraying the code around the information to be posted.

The second problem is that the buttons to add media, such as add picture or add video, are there but nothing at all happens when clicked.

If anyone has any information on either problem the help would be much appreciated.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I deleted all plug-ins (only had the beginning two so far) to rule out that possibility. I’ll try switching the themes and checking it and see if that works I guess. Its strange because they worked last week. Then a problem happened and we had to retrieve our backup from the domain. Once the backup files were FTP’d in and everything was back up those problems were there.

Well, that’s not something you mentioned previously! Obviously a problem was caused by your backup. How old was it? What version of WordPress was it from?

It was brand new. The backup was from either last wednesday or thursday

    Pre or post upgrade?
