Problem Adding New Advert

    I am having the same issue… tried several things to solve it, including re-installing and even installing an older version. I get the following error:

    If the issue persists please seek help on the support forums

    We did not have this issue before.. I assume something failed during the last update maybe… How can I resolve it, without uninstalling (and losing all current settings/ads)?

    Nothing has changed in the database recently, certainly nothing related to those fields missing.
    I don’t know how you re-installed the plugin but a proper re-install would have created new tables including those fields.

    Did you update from a very old version recently? Or did you roll back (parts) of the database to an earlier version? Perhaps restored a backup?

    by proper re-install, you mean deactivate and delete the plugin, then install it? won’t that delete all settings, groups, adverts etc? I can’t do that… I am not sure what happened, but I did try to install an older version (i have a plugin that allows me to install and overwrite plugins called easy theme and plugin updates)….that didn’t work. I also disabled and installed the latest version overtop.. didn’t work. So how can I fix this without deleting and re-installing? Thanks!

    I went ahead and installed a fresh copy of the plugin and checked the Structure of all AdRotate database tables in comparison with the database of the website that had issues.. probably about 15 columns were missing throughout… I added each missing one, one by one… now I’ll check if things work…fingers crossed!

    That’s probably what did in the database. Don’t mess with plugins like that, it’ll only cause issues.

    You can indeed add the columns yourself and see if that works.
    If not, you’re probably better off reinstalling the plugin so that AdRotate can create a new database and settings. This will delete all AdRotate data though. Time consuming to re-do all ads and stuff but it’s a sure fix.

    no, that’s not why this happened… the database was already missing 15 or so tables, so whatever caused this to happen, happened way before I installed an older version… I installed the older version in hopes that it would ADD the missing tables … that didn’t work.. so then I reinstalled the current version thinking that it would add the missing tables – which it did not either ?? In any case, I manually added the tables and we’ve added new adverts, so far so good!
