problem adding new sites to network

  • Hi all,
    I am having problems adding a new site to my network. I want two sites exactly the same, one in English and one in Turkish (maybe more follow later)
    I am taking the following route:
    my [sites] > [network admim] > [sites] > [add new]. I then have a blank field to fill followed by .kurayapi.com, so I enter turkish.kurayapi.com followed by site (turkish translation) and my email address. Then add site.
    Then when I try to visit site I am directed to https://sayfabulunamadi.com/
    ?f I try to edit site and change the site URL to https://kurayapi.com/turkish, then the page displayed makes no sense and if I try to enter the site dashboard I get a redirect error.

    What am I doing wrong? How do I create a separate site on the network?

    1. You need same website in 2 languages and in 2 domain . right?

    2. where you have done this ? >> I am taking the following route:

    3. are you trying to use same database in 2 wordpress installation ?

    H? Amit thanks for taking the time to reply to my query.
    I have kurayapi.com and izmir-ev.kurayapi.com live. I am trying to create a multilingual site and link the two sites together.
    I tried to import the content of kurayapi.com into izmir-ev.kurayapi.com.
    Thinking all I would have to do is translate the content but I guess its not as easy as that.
    Any help would be very much appreciated

    1. if you need multi language website… Same design, you need 2 different database.

    2. copy paste files from kurayapi.com to >> izmir-ev.kurayapi.com

    3. go to wp-config.php of izmir-ev.kurayapi.com and change database, user name and password with new credential.

    4. download sql of kurayapi.com and chnage name “kurayapi.com” to “izmir-ev.kurayapi.com”

    5. upload into the database of izmir-ev.kurayapi.com

    its actually very simple to do but difficult to explain…
