Problem adding variations (bug)

  • I have purchased both the attributes and variations plugins and have found a major problem with the variations plugin.

    When importing variations, you must create the variation_master and then all of the relevant product_variations.
    All good, but to map the the product_variation to the variation_master, you must know what the variation_master post_id is! This is ridiculous and should probably use the sku or some other field that you can set yourself.
    Nobody will know beforehand what the post_id of the variation_master is and it would be extremely tedious to find out the id of each variation_master so that you can then map the variations to it.

    It pretty much makes the variations plugin unusable and no better than manually entering information.

    Would love to know what your response is or if I have got this wrong??
