Problem after installing new theme

So, I have this problem…
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_current_user() in /home2/******/public_html/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 613It only affects the Network Admin side of things on my multisite and I’m at a loose end on how to resolve this. I’ve spent the last 2 days googling the problem, I’ve been on stack overflow and I’ve even asked friends.
I can’t access the main Dashboard on my multisite where you can control Users, Plugins etc and I really need to! Can somebody please help? It’s driving me crazy!
