Problem after WordPress Update: Showing by error an Author filter box

  • The plugin worked fine until now. After updating the WordPress version (I think it happened after the WordPress 5.8 update), I have an unwanted additional filter box that shows me two authors, but that have no actual posts in this specific post type. Since the Widgets were all migrated to Gutenberg, I guess that something related to that has caused a bug in the Taxonomy Filter. Please have a look and see to get a fix out for me. I guess others may have the same problem.

    Sorry for the silence! I’ve got some hectic months going on ??
    I’m not going to be able to debug and make changes to the plugin in the nearest days.

    could you try to elaborate a bit on the issue and perhaps provide some links to screenshots/screen recordings?
    I’m not 100% sure I’m following what your issue is.

    I also have an issue as well with the extra author dropdown, but only if I use the plugin as a widget.

    Have a look at this page:

    It shows up some authors that have blog posts on the site. Since they have zero recipes, it does not show anything for them. Interestingly it shows only a few selected authors, and it does not show the recipe authors. And I dont know any settings to show an author filter box in the first place. So it is kind of a weird bug.
