    I’m just desperate trying to get the right shortcode for the thing I want to do. I want to create a list that lists all pages marked in the category as “glossar”. I built this shortcode: [mctagmap responsive=”yes” width=”150px” columns=”2″ show_pages=”yes” from_category=”glossar”]. But unfortunately the system shows all the pages I’ve ever created. Has anyone an idea what’s wrong?

    Thanks,
    Andreas.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Well that’s because from_category for pages didn’t exist. I updated to v17.0.19. Please update to that and let me know if it works now.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your help. I update to v17.0.19, but unfortunately the system still says: “Sorry, but no tags were found”.

    @neubrech07 hmmm…

    Can you provide a link to the actual page you are using the shortcode on so I can look? If you have to, set up a test page please.

    How are you telling WordPress to add categories to pages. I ask as that is not an out of the box option for pages.

    Of course you can have a link: https://www.andreas-neubrech.de/glossar-test/

    For creating categories and tags to pages I first used the plugin “Create And Assign Categories For Pages” and now I’m using “Pages with category and tag”. I want to work with pages only because the posts at my theme look a little different to pages and I don’t want to have two diffent layouts at my website. So far the categories of the pages worked fine.

    Interesting, If you are seeing the “sorry no tags….” message, then it’s working “properly” and looking at your page, seems like everything is in order.

    Would you be willing to make me a temporary login using: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/ and sending the link to [email protected] so I can look to see if I see anything different than my local?

    I have a sample test page up on the plugin doc site.

    Thank you for helping that much. I’ve found the mistake why the shortcode didn’t work. And it’s ashame. In the shortcode which didn’t work I used the wrong quotes. You can’t hardly see that. It was a coincidence that I’d find that little thing. But now everything is fine.

    @neubrech07 ah, yeah. I noticed your shortcode was: [mctagmap responsive=”yes” width=”150px” columns=”2″ show_pages=”yes” from_category=”glossar”] and I was going to look at it to make sure those weren’t curly quotes to make sure. Glad you got it sorted. Thanks though for bringing up from_category for pages as I had never even included that feature.

    Thanks again
