Problem – Calendar: date range

    I use the plugin sportspress on https://www.ctpn.pl

    Wersja SP: 1.9.20
    Wersja WP: 4.4.2

    I have a problem with the creation of the calendar (fixtures & results) and filtering the date of the round.

    During the weekend of 27-29 November 2015 scheduled for 8 matches in the league. One of those matches was postponed to another date (12/12/2015).

    When I create a calendar and select a date 27-29 November 2015 (round number: 17) makes me round, which consists of 7 matches – and it should be 8 (but the date 12/12/2015 is out of range, of course).

    What to do to make the round of 8 matches? Is it possible to change the plugin that would allow the calendar to add any other match (matches, that have been played at a different time)?

    The matter is very important, because such changes in terms of matches happen quite often (Poland league).

    Hi Jariko!

    You’d need a different approach there, for rounds not dates. But that is something that we don’t have right now, and would require quite some custom code to achieve.

    I don’t have any ideas of ways to do this, other than using the match with the “wrong” date, and adding something like a custom field to advise that it won’t be in that date actually

    Thank you for answer.
    I have some idea. Maybe every game should have a unique number (In database definitely has). And this number could also choose to create a calendar (n addition to filtering date range).
    What do you think about this? Is it good idea?

    Just as the creation of lists of players. Option “Players”: Auto or Instruction. If you choose “Instruction” will see a list of players to choose from.
    In calendar just like in lists of players, only players will be as matches.

    We need the same stuff.

    Our suggestion is:

    One table for the rounds: here we can have the relevant information for round, like date.

    Then in match table we can add a field for the new date.

    If there is no change in matches schedule, this field is ever empty, and in the page (or widget or whatelse) we can have something liek this

    – Matchday 1 –
    19/04/2016 – 15:30
    Team A – Team B
    Team C – Team D
    Team E – Team F

    If one match is postponed, or anticipated, we have this filed filled (only fir the relative match) and we will see

    – Matchday 1 –
    19/04/2016 – 15:30
    Team A – Team B
    Team C – Team D *
    Team E – Team F

    * will be played on 19/04/2016 – 20:30

    Or other, like a small char string near the match

    – Matchday 1 –
    19/04/2016 – 15:30
    Team A – Team B
    Team C – Team D
    will be played on 19/04/2016 – 20:30 (smaller)
    Team E – Team F

    The text will be customizable

    Right now some custom code would be needed for this. We don’t have plans on adding this, but we can have this feature added in the future ??
