Thanks for your kind support for Wordfence. We appreciate it. ??
I read in the review that you were tracking down a plugin or theme conflict. Though plugin authors aren’t supposed to offer support in the reviews section, I thought it would be OK to pass on this recommendation since it isn’t specific to Wordfence. The traditional conflict troubleshooting advice is to ‘disable all your plugins and reactivate them until the problem shows again’. The problem is that the site can appear all wonky when you do that. Instead, you should try the Health Check plugin from the WordPress repository to test for compatibility issues. It’s a plugin that will allow you to simulate turning off your plugins and changing your theme to a default WordPress theme (such as Twenty Twenty) – but only to you. Your visitors will continue seeing your site normally and so will other logged in admins, editors, etc.. The plugin is from www.ads-software.com and you can download it for free from the WP plugin repository: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ Using Troubleshooting Mode, you can deactivate your plugins and themes. You can then reactivate your theme and plugins within the Health Check plugin one by one, rechecking the problem after each reactivation. Once the problem reoccurs, you’ll know that the plugin or theme you just reactivated is the culprit, all without disrupting the way the site appears to the rest of the world. Shout out to @clorith for his awesome work on this!
Regarding the problem of not being able to activate the plugin again, please open a support request and we can help sort it out. You can add a link to this review for reference. Also let us know if deleting the Wordfence folder from /wp-content/plugins and then reinstalling it helps at all. We look forwards to helping you solve the problem with you!
