Problem displaying blog posts

  • I have installed the Potassiumific theme (which might be my problem, can’t tell) and I love it. I have one problem. I can’t get the blog posts to pull into the little window on the front page of the blog.

    I tried creating a static page named blog and that is what’s there now but the only thing that will show in the blog box on the front is text I actually type into the blog page. Leaving it blank as the Codex suggests does not display my blog posts on the page. I’m happy with everything I’ve got working so far but really want to pull those posts into this particular page so people can see a list of recent posts and the little window will always update with my latest blog without my typing it into the Blog page.

    Advice?
    BTW the theme has settings for telling it what to display in the three boxes on the front page, I chose the “blog” page for that first slot.

    The “reading” section is set to display my latest posts. I tried switching to static page and selecting blog but that made the content completely disappear from the first window intended for the blog posts on the front page.

  • Looks like if you leave the First Column Page at ‘- Select -‘, it will show the most recent post.

    Thanks!! That worked, in between finding your comment and my original post I heard from the theme support and they said it won’t display the blog posts in this first window ?? So double Yippee!!
