  • Hello,

May I ask is there any error message being displayed when the download stops? If so can you provide the exact message received?

If the download stops suddenly, you can perform a conflict test to check if it solves the issue? You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

For better handling of downloadable products, please check our documentation:
    https://woocommerce.com/document/digital-downloadable-product-handling/

If that does not solve the issue, please provide a screenshot of your settings under Settings → products → downloadable products you can use https://snipboard.io to send screenshots – please follow the instructions on that page, then paste the URL in this thread.

    Thank you.

It does not show any error message, it directly shows that it was downloaded but it is incomplete, therefore the file is corrupted (I attach a download image and when it ends up weighing 28.5mb when the real weight is 31.4mb)

In the attached image I show the configuration that I have in WooCommerce.

Deactivate plugins and the problem persists.

Another detail is that I am using external download links for my products (Dropbox).

    Hi @alfredo1216,

Thanks for getting back to us.

This starts to get into a networking sort of territory and it’s my understanding that once the download has started from the server, WooCommerce itself really plays no role from that point on.

Please note there could be a number of reasons that would cause a download to abort:

    – Momentary network drops.
    – Network problems or limitations between the machine and the download server.
    – Automated systems on the download server ending downloads, e.g. bandwidth limits/monitoring.

There could be any number of factors involved there, and since we can only really help with WooCommerce itself, I’m not sure how much we can really assist here. My thinking, again, is that once the download is started, WooCommerce isn’t really involved at all at that point.

It would probably be a good idea to use a service such as Amazon AWS S3 which gives you room for better scalability, offers more reliability, especially when serving big files, and greater download speeds for your customers.

If you’re interested, we have our own Amazon S3 Storage extension on the WooCommerce.com marketplace.

If you want to try it, we have a 30-day refund policy. If the product doesn’t work the way you need it or you think another product would work better, we are more than happy to provide a full refund.

You can read more about our refund policy on our website here: https://woocommerce.com/refund-policy/

    Hope this helps.
