    Hello!
Hope y’all are having a GREAT day.
ANY guiding advice will be MOST gratefully accepted. My friend has a WP site (Genesis/Fabric Child) she paid a pro to build, but is no longer available for assistance, so I’m trying to make some minor changes to her site just to help her out. I want to change a sentence each on two pages, but I cannot locate where the text is coming from. Searching the dashboard pages manually, using the search bar embedded in her site, or even in cpanel file manager (search all files) NEVER turns up any sign of the keywords. Granted, I do not understand how WP works, but if words are displaying on live webpages, don’t they have to be in the code somewhere??? Would one of you nice people tell me how to find where content is hiding in a WP site? *THANK YOU* for ANY assistance or hints. REALLY!

  • The best place for questions about the Genesis theme is in their support forum at StudioPress, since this is a premium theme. If the text isn’t in her page or post content, it’s likely built into the theme, so you’ll need to edit the correct theme file to remove/change this text.

Thank you so much for that information. Since posting, I have learned about no-longer-supported plug-ins and how they can create orphans… I finally was able to find the text I needed thru phpMyAdmin. Thank you to this forum just for BEING THERE in support. Thanks lauriemrauch!
