• I have successfully installed ol_feedburner.php, and I’ve done everything right up to the point where you go to the FeedBurner web site and enter the “random” url.

When I do _that_, it gives me a 404 error. The plugin is activated, but FeedBurner won’t let me go further without a valid feed, and the plugin won’t let me go further without some code (or a URL, I forget) that FeedBurner will give me. I’m in a Mexican Standoff, it looks like.

    Can anyone help? Thanks!

  • me too. i thought i was just going crazy!

Visit your permalinks options page. I think that’ll fix it since that’ll regenerate your .htaccess rules.

yea, that didn’t work, but thanks

First, 99% sure the plugin only works if you’re actually using permalinks. tdillard, you are not. However, with a little cleverness (add_action('init', 'blah') I’m thinking), I believe the plugin could be made to work if permalinks were off.

sjchase: Assuming you read the readme and followed the instructions correctly, then chances are that your .htaccess file is not writable by the server. That’s the only thing I can think of besides if you aren’t using permalinks.

IIRC, I didn’t have to do anything special to make the plugin work (I had forgetten that when I made my above post).

thanks for your help. i wasn’t able to fix it but after upgrading to 1.5.3 everythings fine.
