Problem going live with hosted test site

Hi everyone:

I have designed a new WP website to replace my old one. I worked on it in a non-public folder within the existing directory of the site I want to replace, like so:

CURRENT SITE = https://www.zoniereport.com

NEW SITE, READY TO GO LIVE = https://www.zoniereport/news/wordpress_revolutionpro

Here is my problem: How do I bring everything out of these two folders — “news” and “wordpress_revolutionpro” correctly?

I tried this once and really screwed it up. I pulled everything out of the files via FTP, but none of the CSS applied. It was a white background with text pushed all the way to the left.

What’s the correct way to bring these files out and “go live”? I apologize in advance if this is an easy fix, but I sure appreciate the help.
