• Hey,

Ive this problem, when im tryin to view my blog the following text appears:

It doesn’t look like you’ve installed WP yet. Try running install.php.

then when im tryin to do so, it says:

    Already Installed
You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.

What should I do, coz my friends back home cannot view it either?? It worked fine before this for six weeks. Dont know anything about computers so im fucked. What can I do and how? I know so many people have been writing the same problem, but i dont understand ur answers. Like i said,i know nothing about the computers. Can the Bootsnall staff fix it for me? Anyway, my blog address is:

    blogs.bootsnall.com/Heikki

    Thank you very much, Heikki

Unfortunately, They will have to. You do not have the type of administrative control over the blog that is needed to help it any other way. I suggest you contact them with a detailed explanation of your problem and perhaps a couple of links to pertinent threads here. I suspect it’s something simple on their end though.

oops, wrong advice. I didn’t read the full post. Sorry
I thought he wanted to reinstall wordpress, but it gave the stupid ‘it is allready installed’ message.

To my understanding, Heikki does not have access to the config file (or any other files for that matter). Hence my first post. Besides, I suspect there is nothing wrong with the database itself, or the config file.

Please do NOT what dyin said if you had a working blog.
While it will do now damage to the database, it will also just give you a new empty blog. It will NOT bring your old blog back.

You need to talk to your blog admin – only they can help here it seems.

I don’t understand anything about the clearing database though ??

Then why are you giving misleading, wrong advice?
