• hi, between January 21st and 22nd, something happened on my website that doesn’t allow me to publish posts on Linkedin. In summary, the images that used to display correctly are now gone. as this example shows:

    https://www.linkedin.com/post-inspector/inspect/https:%2F%2Fwww.redhotcyber.com%2Fpost%2Flitaliana-benetton-attacco-informatico%2F

Going to try to understand better, I saw that the site shows the images as jpeg, but when you go to save them “save as”, it provides them in webp.

I thought it was the wordpress version that recently updated to 6.1.1 and I used the “Disable WebP By Default” plugin, but it didn’t fix the problem.

I’ve been going crazy for a day. I know LinkedIn doesn’t accept Webp, but other social networks do, but I’d like to solve this problem as soon as possible.

If someone could kindly give me a hand. Best regards and many thanks.

  • Have you done a sanity check? As in, trying to publish a post to LinkedIn without an image?

I once had a problem with my posts going through to FB page and it turned out that the connection token between my website and FB expired.
