Problem importing blogger posts

I decided to switch from blogger to wordpress because of a broken pipe issue with blogger. I tried to import my posts to WP from blogger but it was incomplete and my blogpost-hosted files were wiped out in the process. However, I have a subdirectory on my webserver including an index and the files from blogger posts that were published on my own server/ISP. I need some direction, how to import these posts to my WP Blog. Can anybody walk me thru the process? import, blogger, wor[ress
