    Dear WPSoul,

It seems that the plugin automatically generates the HTML anchor of the heading block (that’s really the necessary functionality). However, It really has a problem when I use Vietnamese (accented), the links in the TOC block don’t work (see the link I sent). I noticed that the plugin automatically generates HTML anchors of headings that are not correct for Vietnamese (Some characters will be missing accents).

This same problem happened when I used rehub theme in the past, You explained that: “there is no way to transliterate all symbols.” The workaround is to add vietnamese transliteration to the default theme

    ‘à’=>’a’, ‘á’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’a’, ‘a’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’a’, ‘?’=>’d’, ‘è’=>’e’, ‘é’=>’e’, ‘?’=>’e’, ‘?’=>’e’, ‘?’=>’e’, ‘ê’=>’e’, ‘?’=>’e’, ‘?’=>’e’, ‘?’=>’e’, ‘?’=>’e’, ‘?’=>’e’, ‘ì’=>’i’, ‘í’=>’i’, ‘?’=>’i’, ‘?’=>’i’, ‘?’=>’i’, ‘ò’=>’o’, ‘ò’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘?’=>’o’, ‘ù’=>’u’, ‘ú’=>’u’, ‘?’=>’u’, ‘?’=>’u’, ‘?’=>’u’, ‘?’=>’u’, ‘?’=>’u’, ‘?’=>’u’, ‘?’=>’u’, ‘?’=>’u’, ‘?’=>’u’, ‘?’=>’y’, ‘y’=>’y’, ‘?’=>’y’, ‘?’=>’y’, ‘?’=>’y’, ‘à’=>’A’, ‘á’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’A’, ‘?’=>’D’, ‘è’=>’E’, ‘é’=>’E’, ‘?’=>’E’, ‘?’=>’E’, ‘?’=>’E’, ‘ê’=>’E’, ‘?’=>’E’, ‘?’=>’E’, ‘?’=>’E’, ‘?’=>’E’, ‘?’=>’E’, ‘ì’=>’I’, ‘í’=>’I’, ‘?’=>’I’, ‘?’=>’I’, ‘?’=>’I’, ‘ò’=>’O’, ‘ò’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘?’=>’O’, ‘ù’=>’U’, ‘ú’=>’U’, ‘?’=>’U’, ‘?’=>’U’, ‘?’=>’U’, ‘?’=>’U’, ‘?’=>’U’, ‘?’=>’U’, ‘?’=>’U’, ‘?’=>’U’, ‘?’=>’U’, ‘?’=>’Y’, ‘Y’=>’Y’, ‘?’=>’Y’, ‘?’=>’Y’, ‘?’=>’Y’

I don’t know if this solution works for plugins? If yes, can you help me add it to the default

Hi. Our plugin doesn’t use own functionality to generate anchors. It’s made by WordPress core which you can’t change from plugin

You can set own anchors in Advanced – Anchors

    Hi,

I’ve been trying to find the wordpress forums

I got the following information: After the 4.x update, wordpress has supported removing Vietnamese accents on Permalink (URL Slug) when the user enters the post name in Vietnamese (combined unicode encoding). However, the Vietnamese accent will not be completely removed when the user uses the built-in unicode encoding (I’m using it). This bug has been fixed in version 4.6.x: When posting, Vietnamese accents will be completely removed when user input using built-in unicode encoding.

I don’t know if you have bypassed this error correction mechanism. Because when I update it only automatically corrects Permalink(URL Slug), but it doesn’t fix HTML on Heading(Gutenberg) blocks. I tried removing all the print plugin and using only the greenshift plugin, but the result is the same

The remove_accents function doesn’t seem to be working properly. Can you double check on the plugin for me?

Can you double check how the plugin uses this functionality of WordPress core?

    Best regards,

we use next option generateAnchors from https://developer.www.ads-software.com/block-editor/reference-guides/packages/packages-block-editor/

To be true, we don’t use it directly, it’s core option for core heading block. As I wrote, you can set custom anchors to headings

    Dear Greenshift team,

As you said the problem came from Gutenberg, I contacted them.

Really I need automatic HTML Anchor generation functionality. I can’t manually customize it since my website has a lot of posts and lots of titles per post. Currently, the TOC block is almost broken in Vietnamese if I don’t manually customize the Anchor HTML.

I will close this support request.

    Thank you

    Best regards,
