• Hello
I have noticed a bug in the WooCommerce import section
If there is a link in the product description section for which the class is not defined, WooCommerce refuses to import it.
You can see the link below for more information.

    https://digit-buy.ir/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Rec-0002.mp4

To improve the export section, please include the product link in the export file. Because after import, all the links will be changed (by changing the link, Google will destroy your console)

Exporting products through WordPress will be very heavy.

And the other item in the export section is only the product category
Please add export by selecting the products tag.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @reza465,

Thank you for reaching out and detailing the issues you’re encountering with the WooCommerce import and export functionalities. The import issue where a missing class attribute in a link within the product description is causing the import to fail, this is indeed unusual behavior. To better understand the situation, could you share an example of the CSV file that you’re trying to import?

This information will help us pinpoint the exact cause and provide a more accurate solution.

As for your suggestion to include the product link in the export file, I understand how important it is to maintain link integrity for SEO purposes. While WooCommerce doesn’t include this feature by default, you can achieve this by using a plugin like ‘Product CSV Import Suite‘ which allows for more detailed export options, including custom fields where you could include the product link.

Regarding the export by product tag, this feature is not available in the default WooCommerce export tool. However, the ‘Product CSV Import Suite’ plugin also provides the functionality to export products by tags, categories, and other criteria, which should meet your needs.

I noticed you mentioned that exporting products through WordPress can be heavy. If you’re experiencing performance issues, it might be related to server resources or the size of your product database. To assist you further with this, could you provide:

    • Details about the performance issues, such as error messages or timeouts?
    • The number of products you’re trying to export?

We’re waiting for your reply and looking forward to helping you further.

Hello, thank you for your reply
I have included a sample csv file for you in the link below

    https://digit-buy.ir/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/wc-product-export-7-4-2024-1712439833285.zip

Thank you for introducing the plugin, but the people of Iran cannot pay in dollars due to corruption in the management system.
Yes, I have nearly 3000 products, and the output of the product file becomes very heavy, and the import in the new WordPress comes with a server error. The output file is about 70 MB and the host resources are not responsive.
In general, WooCommerce has a big flaw in export and import
Please raise this issue in the WooCommerce forum
Adding tags and links is vital

    Hello mohammad reza,

Thank you for your reply and sharing the CSV file.

I saw the video you shared and it is a strange problem.
I tried to replicate it on my test site which is in English language but I could not recreate the problem.

I want to match my test site’s settings to your site.
For this, I will need your site’s System Status Report.
You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Once you’ve done that, you can paste the text in https://gist.github.com
After that, you can paste the Gist link here in your reply.

I look forward to your reply. ??

    Best regards.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

    Hey, @reza465!

    Thanks for sharing the reports.

This is actually a bug our team is working on. Thanks for bringing this to our attention too.

We are doing our best to fix it as soon as possible.

We can’t specify a date when the bug will be fixed, it is still in progress. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, and we thank you for your patience.

You can follow the GitHub report here to get updates on it if you wish.

    Workaround

On the report they mention there are a few workarounds outside of removing the HTML from the CSV.

define( 'ALLOW_UNFILTERED_UPLOADS', true ); can be temporarily added to a site’s wp-config to bypass this.

You can also use a plugin such as https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/disable-real-mime-check/, but this plugin hasn’t been updated in a while. While they say it still works, it can also cause other issues on the site. So please be mindful of that if you choose to use it.

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hello carolm29 (woo-hc)
    Thanks for your response

Are you and WooCommerce colleagues interested in me reporting a few more issues?
And for a better understanding, should I design separate videos for each of the problems?

Feel free to send them our way. Just to note — it would be best to have separate threads created for each issue, to better focus troubleshooting resources.

We appreciate you being an active part of the community ??

    Have a wonderful day!
