Problem inserting images into Comments.

  • Ever since we upgraded to 4.2.2., we and our users have been having trouble inserting images into comments. We are using the Worpress commenting system, and a plug-in called “Comment Image”. Before 4.2.2., we and our users could insert images into comments but now it fails more than 50% of the time. The failures do not seem to be related to the size of the image file. We get an error message that says: “The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator for https://www.inner-sanctuary.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”
    We have contacted Bluehost and they can find no server problems. Is there a possible conflict between Content Image and 4.2.2? Comment Image was working fine for us from October 2014 until a few weeks ago when we upgraded to 4.2.2. We have tried to contact the developer of Content Image but got no response. Should we consider going back to 4.2.1 or an earlier version? Is that even possible?

    You are using 4.2.2

    However, that plugin’s page indicates:
    Compatible up to: 4.0.5
    Last Updated: 2014-10-11

    looks like that plugin may have compatibility issue.

    My suggestion is to try that plugin’s designated forum and bring your issue to the attention of the plugin’s author:
