• I’m baffled. My blog is a new one and I’m a newbie. I have no problem inserting images into blog posts but if I try to insert a media file (and mp4), I get:

You don’t have permission to access /blog/wp-admin/media-upload.php on this server.

Now I’m not trying to ‘upload’ it using the WP upload feature. The video already exists on my website so I’m just pointing at it. What I can’t understand is the ‘permission’ thing as I’m working as the administrator and the file permissions are 755 so I’ve got read/write/execute access to that file.

But it gets worse. I tried to modify a user profile that wasn’t mine an I got:

You don’t have permission to access /blog/wp-admin/user-edit.php on this server.

Anyone have a clue what’s going on here?

    Cheers — Larry

Please…please…someone must have had this problem. I’m still trying to figure out what’s going on here. When I look at the /blog/wp-admin…. file call that I, as administrator don’t have access to, it seems to me that the path is wrong as “blog” is a directory branching from my website, not really the root directory. Where is this path stored? I can’t find anything other than Settings where the blog URL is https://www.woodnbits.com/blog.

This problem is preventing me from doing anything to change the setup of the blog. Can’t even get a Feedburner plugin going as I’m told I don’t have access to plugins.php ??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers — Larry
