Problem install webp

    Hello, i am a GUI, and also i have this message : EWWW Image Optimizer uses jpegtran, optipng, pngout, pngquant, gifsicle, and cwebp. You are missing: webp. Please install via the Settings Page or the Installation Instructions.

    So i go to the installation instructions and i don’t understand what is the version i have to download and how to compile and also where put the binaries.

    I’m french and i have read the same problems in other topic three month ago but i don’t understand the answer…

    PLease Help me ??

    Answer all the questions that I asked that guy (what kind of server, what linux distribution, do you have shell access, can you run those commands and paste the output, etc.). Once you’ve done that, we’ll go from there.

    I’m disapointed because i have a server OVH and so i think i have the same problem of the other man… so… i will try to contact ovh…

    Ce type d’installation n’est pas possible sur un hébergement mutualisé.
    Il n’est possible d’installer ces packets que si vous disposez d’un serveur de type serveur VPS ou serveur dédié.

    Well, to be honest, it might be cheaper for you to purchase a cloud subscription and do webp that way, but it’s up to you which direction you want to go. I don’t know if they intend for you to have a managed vps that you can install software on, or unmanaged. If it was unmanaged, that is a lot of work.
