Problem just with author-archive title

Hello,
there is a problem with the author-archive title. When defining all titles for articles, taxonomies and so on, everything works finde. But all entries in the page-title for author-archive are just ignored.
Example:
%%name%%, author at %%sitename%%
This is what I have typed in – I also tried just any word like “Test” without any shortcuts. But it is just ignored. When loading the site just the author′s name is the page-title, without “author at” and without the sitename.
The sourcecode just shows:

<title>Marco Kolditz</title>
etc.Why is the title for author archives ignored? Description works, keywords works, but not the title.
Any solution?
