Nothing is fishy, you’re doing that. See the part that says ?redirect_to=? That’s where you are telling these forums to send you there.

Why are you using that link? You are explicitly telling these forums to send you there when you log in.

That is the link that was there when I arrived at www.ads-software.com, I did not add that part of the code myself. All I did was click ‘log in’ and that was where I was sent.

(p.s. I’m sure you deal with many people who are unfamiliar with links and how websites work, but I am not one of them. It’s not polite to assume I am simply incorrect!)

Where exactly is this link that you clicked to login? On what page are you seeing this “rondu” log in link?

If you were looking at somebody’s profile, then that is what it is supposed to do.

For example, look at my profile here (when you’re not logged in, use an Anonymous window for example):

    https://profiles.www.ads-software.com/otto42/

See the login link? Now it has my name in it. You’re looking at somebody’s profile page. You want to log in. You click log in. It lets you log in. Afterwards, it sends you back to where you started, only now you are logged in. Simple.

    Not a bug.

I wasn’t looking at the users profile, I was just at the main forums page https://www.ads-software.com/support/forums/

The log in link was in the top right hand corner of the page (on desktop).

I don’t know the user and looking at the profile we do not appear to have posted in any of the same topics or reviews etc. so I don’t see a link between us that could have caused this.

Anyway, when I logged in today it didn’t happen, everything was as normal. Hopefully this was nothing to worry about, I just thought I’d better flag it up because it was weird.

I don’t want to waste anyone’s time and I do appreciate you’re just doing your job in assuming I am mistaken!

The link on the main support forums goes to here: https://login.www.ads-software.com/?locale=en_US

No mention of “rondu” in that link. The only way I know you can get that link would be to have been looking at his profile when you logged in.
