Problem: Number of images resized in 3.3.1

    Hello to all the images of my shop have the maximum size of 800×800, and when they are loaded wordpress I kind two miniature 180×180 and 300×300

    example

    woocommerce.jpg (original size 800×800)

    woocommerce-180×180.jpg

    woocommerce-300×300.jpg

    So far, so good!

    With version 3.3.1, an additional image is generated that is this

    woocommerce-800×800.jpg (same size as the original photo)

    so now I find myself for all my 4 photo files

    woocommerce.jpg (original size 800×800)

    woocommerce-800×800.jpg

    woocommerce-180×180.jpg

    woocommerce-300×300.jpg

    In the new woocommerce settings 3.3.1 in Product Images

    I entered this values;

    Main image width
    800

    Thumbnail width
    300

    Thumbnail cropping
    1: 1

    In the wordpress image settings I have set

    Miniature size: 180×180

    Average size: 300×300

    Big size: 800×800

    How do you not generate the image woocommerce-800×800.jpg that is useless, since it has the same measures as the original photo?

    Hi @nick8182,

    For the big image size settings did you try adding a size larger than the 800px of your images, maybe something like 1000px x 1000px for the image big size settings.

    If not could you try that please for a new product and then upload an image as a size of 1000px in the settings should not crop an image which is only 800px in size and is uploaded.

    the problem is that all the photos of almost 1000 products, have a maximum size of 800×800, now for all 1000 photos I find a copy.

    With the first system this did not happen.

    There is not a system to not create the 800×800 photo from woocommerce?

    I would like to use the original image on the product page.

    WooCommerce Product Images / Main image width

    I have not entered any value, and the main image of the product is the original one.

    What’s good for me, I wonder if doing this is correct?
