Hello, I would like to make an enquiry.

We are using your booking system, thanks for providing great engine. But since one day ago, a redirecting problem occurred.

I installed the module and bought the pro version at first, it works, the search (reservation) form after 1 day, I uninstalled the module and installed another time, but the problem is seen at click level of search button, it points to site link

When a user selects date check-in and check out and number of Adults and children ,rooms(page 2) and click ‘search’ to go to page , the site redirects to the main page of the site.

    Please check my attachment :https://we.tl/t-ZrPvsMkqf3

    Best Regards,

    Hello,

Thanks for your message. That’s happening because you’ve published a Shortcode in your website homepage rather than a widget.

Shortcodes will always try to keep the current page-id and page-alias during the booking process, unless specific routing actions are needed, and the home page has got no page-id or page-alias. That’s why we strongly recommend to publish the Shortcodes of VikBooking on any page except the home page. In the home page of your website you should rather use the apposite widgets of VikBooking, like the “Search Form” widget. Widgets are useful because they have a parameter that allows you to select the landing page of the form, which will be the URL where the booking process on your website will start, something like “/book-now”.

    This will solve your problem.

    Hello,

Thanks for the screen shot. The “page” setting is fundamental for the widget because that will be the landing page URL, hence the URL where the booking process will start.

Our suggestion is to let the “Search Form” widget point to an existing page using a Shortcode of type “Search Form”. According to your screen shot you’re missing a Shortcode of this type and so you should proceed to creating one first from the apposite page in VikBooking. Once the Shortcode is created, click the button to add it to a page and VikBooking will do the job for you. At that point you can go back to the widget settings and the new Shortcode of type “Search Form” will appear in the drop down menu. This will ensure a correct configuration of your settings.

    Hello,

We just checked your website and your screen shot, and there are indeed many JavaScript errors that are not caused by our plugin VikBooking.

The datepicker calendars of Vik Booking are working correctly, as they are based on the jQuery UI framework that ships with WordPress by default. The only issue we noticed is a graphical glitch, in the sense that the datepicker calendars are displayed behind the title of your page. This is something you can easily solve by adding a custom CSS rule to your Theme to increase the z-index property of the datepicker calendar elements, or even better to change the relative positioning of the page title, which is disturbing other elements. This is something you should check with the developers of the Theme.

Also, another thing you should take care of is the rest of the JavaScript errors, because your Theme or some other plugins are loading several JS assets that your website will probably never use. If you use the browser console you will see the list of JavaScript errors. We suggest working on the Theme settings because this is not something we could help you with on this forum. Also, for any technical question we suggest getting in touch with our team through our website to see if there is anything we can do to help.

    Thank you,
    The VikWP Team
