Hello, I’m having problem setting featured image as og:image for CPT posts. It seems like Yoast doesn’t set featured image og:image when post is released but with some delay (15-60 minutes maybe). Facebook Debugger first tells that og:image is not set but after some time the image is set correctly. I also inspected page code and noticed that og:image is clearly missing. Image size should not be a problem in this case (1606×1071 px and 293 kt).

Is this kind of delay normal?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I keep having the same problem. I find the transformation from preview image is not working properly.

    Hi @alluxus,

The Open Graph meta tags get added to your page as soon as you publish or update your page, so we’re not sure why you’re seeing a delay. The example page you shared has the og:image tag that we expect to see.

Can you let us know if you have any caching enabled on your site using a plugin or on your server? If so, does making sure that you purge the page cache after updating your page or before sharing the page to Facebook solve the problem?
