problem on choosing quantity of products

    i’m managing a WP site of a mill. they sell their flour.
    if a customer select a product he can only choose from values that goes from 1 to 10 so is impossible to buy, for example, 30 item of the same product.
    i tired to click 4 time 10 in the product page, the chart badge says that there are 40 items in it but when i proceed to the checkout the payment amount is only for 10 items.
    i home i’ve made it clear…

    Hey @linea11 – just to make sure, do I understand it correctly, when I add 10 of this product to the cart, I shouldn’t be able to repeat this?

    First of all, I’m not sure how you’ve set the limitations to be 10, but that’s definitely another plugin or some custom code, so this is technically not a WooCommerce core issue.

    Second, what you’re looking to do is possible with Min/Max Quantities, a paid plugin on WooCommerce.com.

    Hi, thank for the reply. I didn’t manage the site from the beginning…i found the work done by a previous team. the problem is that a customer can’t buy more of 10 pieces of the same item. if he select 4 time 10 the chart say that there are 40 items but when checking out it only charge (and sells) 10 items. i didn’t set the limitation (as i said before) and in the backend there is no way to modify this value. i’m not very into custom code….

    Hey @linea11, oh, so you actually do not want the limitations. Thanks for clarifying that.

    So this is not part of WooCommerce core, which means that some bit of code on the site is preventing this from working as it should. For this, there are roughly two options:

    • A plugin is used.
    • Custom code is added.

    Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response. This’ll likely help us to narrow it down. We look forward to your reply!

    You have a lot of errors on the site. Outdated page templates and I’m not seeing a add to cart button. The one error I’m seeing is your missing an event listener which makes me believe this is a problem with your theme. I suggest reverting to a default theme to test. If everything works with the default theme you’ll know it’s your theme.

    @linea11 – as @serafinnyc mentions; I would start with the theme as well (please make sure to make a good backup beforehand and if possible use staging, see the URL at the bottom for more details):
    ?

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.
