That means you uploaded via FTP and no via the WordPress plugin interface and WordPress cannot read/write to that directory.

The easy solution is simply to delete the FTP’d version of redux, and instead install it via WordPress’s plugin manager.

If that’s not possible, then upload your entire theme the same way. WordPress can’t make directories it doesn’t have permission to.

    Best of luck!

    Hi,
Thank you very much for your answer. That’s is not possible. I have always this alert :

Then I have try upload my theme. Impossible also ! I have this alert : An unexpected error has occurred. Something seems to not work with www.ads-software.com or configuration of the server. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

Please, do you have another solution ? Or another wordpress plugin could it replace redux framework?

    I’m desperate.. ??

    Thank’s for you help ! ??

Go to wp-content/uploads/ and find folder ‘redux‘ – if you can’t find it, create it ?? Then add permission CHMOD to 755 by FTP.

Sometimes Redux Framework – System Status gives information that Redux Data Directory Writable is ok, but it is not true, because not even exist.

    Hello,

I have an error on my website after I moved it to a different domain:
Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: Permission denied in /home/content/70/7846670/html/new/wp-content/plugins/redux-framework/ReduxCore/inc/class.redux_filesystem.php on line 131
I changed the permissions to 755 and fresh reinstall the worpress still without success. If I delete the theme, it does not letting me to upload it again.
    Do you have any suggestions?

    Hello,

I had the same problem. And the author of the theme wordpress are resolved it.
They changed my folder permission 775 to 757 and it works now.
Try that but I do not know if it will work !

    Good luck ??

Still with these resolutions I can’t get the error to go away. Anyone interested in looking into my problem?

I had the same issue after moving to a new hosting, finally the issue was the route to the uploads folder wasn’t updated, check under Settings -> Media, by default it should be wp-content/uploads

    Hope it helps!

When you change servers / hosting the name of the path most likely has changed. For me the path on hosting server “X” was home/mysites/public_html/nameof the site/wp-content/plugins/etc.

On my new server is was home/something else/public_html/nameof the site/wp-content/plugins/etc.

I went to settings in the admin panel and changed the media path to home/something else/public_html/nameof the site/wp-content/plugins/etc. and it fixed it.

I had the same problem. But with localhost.
