    Hello John,

I try to redirect all urls in my website , because I will change permalinks. But it is not working. There are two messages appear:

    Plugin Status
    1. WordPress REST API Problem REST API returns an error code (40x – https://smmc.or.id/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=red_proxy&rest_path=)
    2. Redirection routes Problem REST API is not working so routes not checked

When I try click “magic fix”, a message appears:
Fatal error: Call to a member function register_route() on null in /home/adminsmmc/public_html/wp-includes/rest-api.php on line 77

Right now, I cancle to change the permalinks for a while, until I have the answer to fix it.

Please help me to fix these problems. Thanks for you attention.

    Regards
    Puspa

So it seems like you have two different problems here:

    – A redirect doesn’t work
    – There’s an error shown on the support page

Does this mean you are able to create new redirects ok? What is the redirect you created that isn’t working?

Regarding the second problem, I’ve never seen that before. I suspect it may disappear if you upgrade WordPress to the latest version. I’ll need to check the plugin against version 4.8.5

@johnny5, I know you made changes in this area recenty. I came to the forum today because I have the same (first) issue with the status when using the REST API.

WordPress REST API Problem REST API returns an error code
    (40x – https://xxxxxxxxxxxxx/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=red_proxy&rest_path=)
Redirection routes Problem REST API is not working so routes not checked

During my search I stumbled on another report of the same problem, with the reporter citing a conflict with another plugin and Redirection. I commented there with a workaround/resolution, and am adding a ref here for your review. Regards.

@starbuck, I’ll try that plugin and see what’s going on – what you described will definitely cause a problem. Thanks!

I tried the plugin and it seems unnecessarily aggressive and will break a good many things. I’ve tried to add a workaround in Redirection, but it’s likely to be quite fragile.

Fortunately as you say it doesn’t touch the REST API, so that’s a solid solution.

After install Formidable Forms plugin, I’ve received ‘Fatal error: Call to a member function dispatch() on null in /home/saudecor/public_html/wp-includes/rest-api.php on line 278’ mensage.

I can not do anything on my website.

@adminsmmc, how do you solve rest api problem?

I am facing a similar issue. please let me help out.
WordPress REST API Problem REST API returns an error code (40x – https://manindranathhighschool.org/wp-json/)
Redirection routes Problem REST API is not working so routes not checked

I am not a professional web developer. I just started to use the word press. Unfortunately, this is my first unsolvable problem regarding this site.
On Pingdom analysis report, I found that my site has too many redirects.

I am fully confused about. I have tested with deactivating all other plugins. No resolution found. help me out of this.
