Problem retreiving data from Twitter

I can’t see anything obvious.

What search settings are you using in your shortcode and/or what user name are you using in the widget? Are you just using 50plusbijbaanNl (with no spaces or extra characters)?

What happens if you regenerate a new set of Consumer Key, Consumer Secret, Access Token and Access Token Secret. Do you get any error message when you save these in the settings?

Incidentally, I have my apps as ‘read only’ – but I doubt this would make any difference.

Does your web server have any other similar problems (e.g. downloading upgrades to plug-ins)?

If I regenerate a new set it just regenerates a new set of keys. No error.

Maby you can see in the test underneath if I have similar problems with my server?

What happens if you put the new API keys into the Rotating Tweets API error page and hit save? Do you get any messages?

Where can I find the error page?

When you save the settings on the /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=rotatingtweets page you will get an error message on that page if there is a problem with them.

For example

Error message received from Twitter: Could not authenticate you.. Please check your API key, secret, token and secret token on the Twitter website.

Are you seeing an error like that?

First, ‘waiting for 50plusbijbaan.nl’
Then ‘instellingen opgeslagen’ which means something like ‘changes saved’ no error.

Can you see if it makes a connection with the API or could this be another problem?

If you’re not seeing an error message, then the problem may be in your settings. Are you using a shortcode or a widget? If a shortcode, can you post it here?

Yes: 50plusbijbaanNL

Can you send me a screenshot of the widget settings page? Can you check there are no spaces before or after the name as well?

And when you save your settings on the settings page, no error message of any kind appears anywhere on the page at all?

The only thing I can think of doing is changing:

define( 'WP_DEBUG', false );

to

define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );

in the wp-config.php file and looking for some extra diagnostics.
